How well must my child swim in order to participate in Boating is Fun Camp?

Each child will need to demonstrate the ability to swim 25 yards and tread water for two minutes without a personal floatation device (PFD/life preserver) during the first day of class. Each child will be swim tested within the swimming area and supervised by at least one ORH instructor on land and one ORH instructor on the water in a kayak. Safety precautions and emergency techniques will be taught and emphasized. Children are required to wear a PFD at all times on the docks and on the water
